Get used to axes coming out. It's gonna get ugly. The Nation has not a clue how expensive the Force Replenishment will be for what we have thrown away in Iraq; next generation procurement scissors crisis is going to be even more World Historical brutal. Our salvation? Richard Haas maybe will assign Max Boot or Peter Beinart to think our way out of it for us all.

What about Hoekstra? Thank God for Peter Beinart and his hard headed Lippmanesque hawkish liberalism. Almost singled handedly he saved the Democratic party from being called treasonously soft on war — Who among us could have imagined anything less than an elevation to CFR for Beinart after his steller pre war Iraq prognostications. His mind is worth one of Patton's divisions. Behold - a genius!
