Fixation on  crosses and who is down with the flu or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.salon.com\/news\/feature\/2007\/12\/21\/huckabee\/\">plays the faux-good ol&#8217; boy card best<\/a> merely highlights how <a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/article.php?id=D8TM1F6O5&#038;show_article=1\">detached the American people are from international affairs or their own military.<\/a>  This also applies to candidates who have exactly one year of federal national service to their name.<\/p>\n<p>Hoffman&#8217;s piece above is a good start but only that.  The next president will have to address this issue either by choice or forced circumstance.  We suspect the latter.
