Rigging would require the Boy King and Democrats have a plan.
They’re not writing about guys my age much anymore, unless I do something naughty. They’re writing about the kids. That’s what drives pop culture now.
— Bruce Willis (May ’07)
Anything goes, to the point when if it’s O.K. for young pop stars or film stars to show photos of their naked vaginas in a magazine, then it’s over, man. It’s the fucking Fall of Rome.
Can't help but feel Nemstov delivered a eulogy for the Opposition today. #russia
If I've said once, I've said it a thousand times: Ariel Cohen belongs at Heritage. In all ways.
At DSOB 106 for Boris Nemstov. Haven't seen him since Nizhni Novgorod Mayor and IFC small scale privatization (Saratov too).

We happen to agree with Pat Lang that Pakistan always was a bad idea. It is, however, what it is. From the Hindu, India’s online newspaper come reports of another lawyer uprising akin to last Spring’s: Pakistan’s deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry urged lawyers on Tuesday to defy the police and protest against President [...]
Is the U.S. sliding into war with Iran? Sy Hersh may be right. What most Oppositionists and certainly the ‘Left’ [sic] in the U.S. fail to understand is that the EU behind the scenes is on board. Rumblings from Brussels (not just Carla Bruni’s beau) are clearly hawkish. In fact, EU blatantly public worries are [...]
What’s most discomforting to you? The Administration starts its 4th year of protracted, partisan trench warfare. Somehow it forgot that Catholic bishops and their friends nearly derailed the entire health care boondoggle over abortion issues. How precisely does one forget that searing experience? Obama apologists claim re-energizing a new ideological front against them was the [...]

re Olberman – noted recently his habit of going after women – on things that seem gratuitous – He manages to make a Palin look sympathetic – He is insincere and it is obviously strange to see him look for excuses to take an interest in her life
So now Newt is saying American Exceptionalness was our religious origins re 1776 – as opposed to the secular Europe. He doesn’t believe any of that – it’s all a roundabout way of hinting Obama is foreign. He is such a squalid dude.
re Olberman – noted recently his habit of going after women – on things that seem gratuitous – He manages to make a Palin look sympathetic – He is insincere and it is obviously strange to see him look for excuses to take an interest in her life — Can one find an excuse to find fault in this somewhat dubious sounding Palin education scheme? Perhaps, but good taste means taking pass.

Clinton campaigned on middle class tax cuts in 91-92, then got in office and pretended to be surprised by the deficit and reversed himself with a modest tax increase. Obama got the politics all wrong – not even hinting at unpopular tax cuts for the rich, the getting realizing the tax cuts for the rich are even less needed, but then letting them happen. We hope he has something planned. A 2 year extension makes no sense – but depending on the economy in 2 years, may matter or not matter
What makes you think they don’t have a plan?

That Bennett aide who talked about filibuster reform probably never thought about losing the Senate and giving the gop license to change the rules as soon as they win. Can you imagine if the Dems pulled these filibuster stunts? The rule would be changed right away.
