Must be a subtext here that I’m missing, since I don’t understand the “9% (really 16%)” qualifier. If this was, as the mouse-over indicates, a survey of 275 WH staffers, what the survey mostly tells me is that the WH is not a happy ship at the moment. Speaking of opinion polls, I also found this poll result most depressing: “Looking ahead for the next few years, which political party do you think will do a better job of keeping the country prosperous: the Republican Party or the Democratic Party?” 48-39 in favor of Republicans, virtually unchanged from last year (results here: http://www.pollingreport.com/institut2.htm).
