Tweety, apparently, went a bit haywire at his anniversary celebration as folks likely have already seen. Interestingly, he keeps insisting that HE was the victor in the Daily Show exchange. We may watch this upcoming debate not only to see Tweety handle the Repubs but also how manically he interacts with the Money Honey.
A fitting lead in to today’s earlier effort we tossed up quickly re Newt’s tragi-comic campaign pirouette and Second Life flop. Book ends of a sort. (N.B. Dennis the Menace has opened a SL campaign HQ).
All media under Fair Use. (And Mitch, you know Newt was a blow hard as well as I do).
As mentioned, the Stiftungmobile’s advanced chobham armor proved incapable of stopping what obviously was a Quds Force shaped charge in the Imperial City suburbs. Or it could have been a pothole. Either way, we signed up a while ago with one of those non-lizard insurance companies. How surprising when they delivered at the Stiftung’s door as a loaner under the policy a very high end GM product. It looked European and handled and rode like a Lexus.
We had not followed GM for a while and did not know GM still made products like this (at least as of the latest UAW pact). Impressive, actually. Or that insurance companies actually do live up to their own advertising with such service. Our only complaint? No 120 MM Rheinmetall smoothbore.
[UPDATE]: Aldershot thinks we are too hard on the Tweetmeister. To recognize such bravery (akin to sticking one’s hand into a working disposal), herewith, we offer “Dreams of Tweety — Seraphims and Malkin.”

We are gonna have to watch that Tweety interview – did he allude to his destruction at the hands of Stewart?LOL
DrLeoStrauss says
Both you and Aldershot are braver than the Stiftung. We can’t bear to witness Russert this soon again after his Tweety interview. And if he says “Go Bills” again . . .
Comment says
Interesting – the guy from CBN on Russert (Brody?) is the best and most fair guy on the panel – Lots of libs in the dem part don’t understand.
Comment says
Margret Carlson – exhibit A of what’s wrong with the mainstream media – She’s on Russert sucking up to Russert. Horrors. – Russert is very biased to Rudy – it’s obvious when he talks – It does not all come up on on the transcripts. Carlson is a conformist.

We don’t know enough about HALO to comment – but the cover art resembles some of the megas in the meth belt.

Good point Alex, but as you know, whether it was the recent Challenger in Basra or our A2s, the Quds Force defeats the chobham regardless. Tech transfer reservations not an issue.
Needless to say, in any event, the Stiftung’s Acquisition Corps will need a shaking up. Perhaps even some WoW accounts cancelled. Pour encourager les autres.
How the Quds Force is operating in the Imperial City has not been satisfactorily explained, yet. Perhaps Kristol will do so this Sunday on one of the talk shows.
Alex says
You poor fool; didn’t you know about the tech-transfer reservations in the export Chobham?
Should have stuck to the Wotan steel.

Wretchedness, thy name is the MSNBC/CNBC Tim Russert Show interviewing Tweety about his ‘book’. Metaphysically appalling.
Comment says
What Dowd supposes? Maybe – she has long fetishized her ‘woman’s intuition’ and has sought, thru her columns and books, to commodify it and monitize it as a form of safe mainstream feminism.
Aldershot says
“Dowd mostly advances whatever it is she opposes.”
Or is it what she supposes?
Doc, thanks for the recognition of my Tweety bravery…heh. I’m completely honored.
Comment says
We left out Friedman in our assessment above – obviously we disagree with him and we find it very annoying that he is “successfull” and his b****** memes gain currency – But we have to concede the fact that he advances his ideas and he matters – Gail Collins does not matter – Dowd mostly advances whatever it is she opposes. Frank Rich is a liberal Steyn, without Steyn’s humor level.
Comment says
re NY Times columnist – Frank Rich and Dowd and Collins – totally frivolous and worthless. Some liberl elite? Huh? They are all a total joke. Krugman and the other guy whose name escapes us are ok.

The Fox morning crew made a mistake this morning – they had Carl Bernstein on to talk about his chatty Hillary book and then he just poored kerosene on the Tweety Bush-criminality commentgate when he said Tweety should start listing the crimes. Then he starts talking about the lies and all of suddent the hosts quickly try to change the subject to be about Prince William and paparazzi – But Bernstein got his points in – No doubt, rustic fans are alreadys sending complaints about letting a commie like Bernstein .
DrLeoStrauss says
re Krugman, true but obviously so – I guess the veto was his hook to churn out the column. We haven’t missed the NYT crew at all and would just as well see them crawl back behind their Wall.

We tuned into Fox & Friends this morning and they were already kvetching about Chris Matthews “criminality” comment and what that means for the debate.
We hope FNC turns up the volume on this little spat – and then we’d like to see Tweety fight back.
One of the guys on Fox said that Matthews was biased – but unlike Hannity, not up front about it. The fact is that Tweety was biased for Gee Dubs in both elections, but Buchanan-like, carves out a blame-the-neocon pass for Bush.
Bush has been playing this accoutabilty-shifting game for years and he’s so good at it that people who are wise to him often fall for it.

We would clarify that to say that many of their cars ar goodd – but too much of the cost is for employee health insurance and charges on factory closings.

GM focuses on gizmos like OnStar – instead of making good cars.

Meant to say note the mention of Kristol – symbol of what is now regnant.
Anon says
We don’t always agree with Krugman – but we think he is mostly on point here when he talks about the personality types nor regnant in the ‘movement.’ There is a strong streak of cruelty and a glofication of lies – not the mention of Kristol

Dr Leo Strauss says
All republics have a finite span — that is what J.G.A. Pocock was exploring and what Machiavelli in his Discourses discussed. We are in a demotic, unanchored time, rudderless, bereft of leadership, am absence of Will to drive purposeful politics for Posterity and the common good (i.e., anti-Rovian). It’s not amnesia. It is ignorance. Byrd, for all his pork peddling, Warner, for all his other issues, they are fading echoes with no real contemporary reverberations. No one remembers. In this, Newt and the Movement have been stunningly successful.
We know of no republic once it has reached this stage ever recovering. Some dream of a Man on a White Horse, but even thought Sulla may have retired, in his efforts he actually pushed things closer to the edge.
Imagine the Constitution drafted by this crew, what words would be capitalized and emphasized “S”ecurity, “S”ecrecy, “A”uthority. “O”bediance, etc. (In Newt’s case, the document would be a hilarious Mad Lib of “transformational” “frankly astonishing” and the usual cant. Meanwhile, a woman, admittedly excited in an airport, is tackled, manhandled and from the looks of things either murdered indirectly or by circumstance. The Security State shrugs it off.
Tweety just another Sign.

“After praising the drafters of the First Amendment for allowing him {Chris Matthews] to make a living …”
Jack Welch should sue Tweety for that comment – and descendents of the founders should also sue.
